Claroscur d’Atzur
2014
Magnus Luna was born from a commission by the Institut de la Llengua Catalana, which requested the Taller de Músics and Enric Palomar to set the poetry of Joan Vinyoli to music on the occasion of the poet’s centenary, celebrated during the Diada de Sant Jordi in 2014. The dreamlike depth of Vinyoli’s lyrics was the central focus of the creative process, giving rise to a symbolic and poetic universe that the group calls Folkore Lunar.
This dreamlike universe translates into an eclectic fusion of styles and influences ranging from jazz and pop to rock, electronic music, and minimalism. This blend is the result of the folk-rooted style of vocalist Anna Ferrer and the versatility of composers Max Villavecchia and Javi Garrabella.
