BIOGRAPHY

Max Villavecchia

Max Villavecchia is a pianist and composer whose artistic identity is defined by his ability to navigate across genres and musical styles, blending traditions with contemporary languages.

His approach as a creator and performer is characterized by a constant search for new soundscapes, challenging conventions and transcending musical boundaries.

Trained at the Academia Marshall in Barcelona, the Taller de Músics, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Max combines his strong classical foundation with a deep exploration of jazz, flamenco, Carnatic music, and world music.

Throughout his career, he has worked on projects ranging from singer-songwriter music to free improvisation, fusion, and folklore, always with a personal and experimental approach that invites reflection and emotion.

A member of Los Aurora, a flamenco-fusion group with which he has toured internationally, and leader of Midstream, a jazz trio with original repertoire, Max has demonstrated exceptional versatility, allowing him to adapt his music to various contexts, from dance theater stages to creating for audiovisual projects.

His music reflects his interest in interdisciplinarity, always aiming to create a deep connection with the audience through emotion and innovation.
